Accommodation definitions
Villa:
stand alone home with garden and pool and some service amenities included in a residential area. Sleeps from two persons and up
Villas Estate:
Situated on a large plot of landscaped land with pool and can offer many service amenities such as daily cleaning, a cook, driver, internet connection and
can sleep from
eight to ten persons
Home away from home:
one to three bedrooms, usually for self catering and self sufficient families with children. May or may not have a pool. Usually near a town or village center. Will sometimes sleep up to as many as ten or
twelve persons.
Apartment or condominium:
one to two bedrooms, usually situated in a building with one
or more central pools with gym
and spa on offer.
Will usually include a weekly cleaning service.

DESCRIPTION OF THE AREAS
-starting from Phuket south & going up Phuket north:
Naiharn Beach Phuket Southern Area
On the southern end of Phuket, is one of the island's most beautiful locations with a feeling of Phuket many years ago. Fine sand and clear water makes this one of the island's nicest beaches.
It is home to the Phuket Yacht Club, in a secluded area near the tip of the Island and is home to many of the local ex-pat residents. The Kings Cup Regatta was held here for many years. The properties have a tendency to be bigger on this side of the mountain as a lot are old family houses with many lush green areas.

Phuket Rawai, South East Coast
Rawai Beach lies around Cape Prom Thep from Nai Harn and is a working beach. Here you will find traditional long-tail boats and modern speedboats for hire. Also along here are many Thai beach restaurants where you sit on mats along the water's edge eating grilled chicken, fish, clams and mussels, whatever's the fresh catch of the day.On the weekends many of the local Thais come here to picnic and vendors roam up and down selling everything from sausages and dried squid to ice cream, fresh fruit, sodas and shaved ice treats. Chalong Phuket South East Coast
Is situated on the east side of the island. Chalong is the main gateway to the southern end of the island. From Chalong Circle five roads lead out: north to Phuket town and Wat Chalong, east to Chalong Bay, south to Rawai and Nai Harn and west to Kata, Karon and on to Patong The beach it is only a 10 min drive to either Naiharn or Kata beach. Chalong is a centre for many of the resident ex-pats on the island and has the flavour of a combination Thai-European village. There's a great local early morning market and in the evening near the circle is a vendor market featuring all sorts of curries and Thai foods.

Kata Noi Phuket Southern West Coast
Is truly a smaller and less developed version of Kata Yai with a beautiful white sand beach, wonderful seafood restaurants and lots of room. It is a place of tranquility and seclusion with Kata Yai just over the hill with all its splendid shops and night life for those who need a more activity on a given day or kayaking available to see some of the untouched shore line all the way round to Nui Beach.

Kata Yai, Phuket Southern West Coast
South west on the island, Kata gives the feel of a small village with a quiet and subdued atmosphere. Almost everything land side is within walking distance and, if not, just a short tuk tuk (local transport) away. Kata's activities are mainly centered around the 2km beach with parascending, hobie cat sailing, windsurfing and jetskis all on offer. The south end of Kata has become a popular spot for Phuket's growing community of green season surfers with the annual Surfing Contest held every September.

Karon, Phuket South West Coast
Karon Beach is one of the best beaches on the island and the second longest at 4 km. Here the sea is calm throughout the dry season and the sand is fine and powdery. Karon Beach has a small city center and eventually merges with Kata Beach to the south. If you follow the beach road you can get to Patong in 15 mins or south to Kata in a 5 min tuk tuk ride. There are a lot of good local and international hotel restaurants along the beach front road as well as night spots too.

Patong Beach, West Coast Phuket
Patong Beach is an astonishing combination of breathtakingly beautiful white sand beach edged by the glittering Andaman Sea, and the most concentrated area of tourist accommodations, shops, nightclubs, restaurants and attractions. If you want action, this is where you will find it.
At night the area rocks with music from piano bar to jazz to hard rock. For real night action head for the area around Bangla Rd and Soi San Sabai and choose your spot. For dancing there's the disco clubs like the Banana or Seduction Discotheque and the famous transvestite show is found at the Simon Cabaret. Some clubs don't even get started until midnight.

Kalim Nakalay, West Coast
North of Patong and nestled between Patong and Kamala, the Kalim community is mostly hill side villas with beautiful views out to the Andaman Sea with a five minute drive to either Patong or Kamala beaches.
